Does it give legal advice?
No, and it is built not to. Docket drafts routine correspondence from your own precedents, tracks dates, chases documents, and runs the fee math. It does not advise, opine, or decide anything — those are yours, and every draft waits for your signature.
Is it a docketing system of record?
No. It watches the dates on your Google Calendar and the matters in your CRM, and tells you what each one still needs. Your system of record stays your system of record — Docket never becomes the only place a date lives, and it does not connect to a practice-management tool today.
What about privilege?
Privilege is the spine of the practice, and it shapes how this is built. Your agent runs in a private container only you can access, every tool call is logged so you can produce a record if you need one, Wrasse staff cannot read your matter content without your explicit authorization, and we don’t train on your data. Can it handle the fee math?
It runs the math on the numbers you give it — an hourly rate and hours, a flat fee, or a contingency percentage on a recovery — and returns the fee basis, any retainer already paid, and the amount due (or the credit balance, if the retainer was larger). It never sets a rate and never quotes a client without you. It does not capture or post billable time; your time-keeping stays where it is.
Will it ever contact a client on its own?
Its standing instruction is to confirm the recipient with you before anything goes to a client, opposing counsel, or a court — correspondence, chases, matter updates, all of it drafted and held. Behind that instruction is a policy ceiling rather than a wall: at most twelve agent-initiated sends a day, after which confirmation is mandatory whatever the agent decides. You can set that rule to require confirmation every time in the dashboard’s policy editor. Nothing is filed or billed by the agent at all, and the activity log shows every step it took.
Can I cancel anytime?
